this is my first diary entry for my website's diary page.

basically, i had a lot of trouble putting this together. i had this whole complicated 3d flipping page thing, but it just didn't work out as planned.

all of the page stacking and managing backs and fronts of pages really fucking sucked so i just scrapped the whole thing for something simpler (which you are seeing now).

as with everything else on this site, it reads from a json file for the metadata. i actually was going to put the diary entries inside of the json, but the syntax was a pain to work with when using arbitrary html formatting. putting backslashes behind everything gets really old, really fast.

i've been working really hard on the website, but my luster has diminished. it makes me feel sad. i wish i could enjoy things again. then again, i don't remember the last time i was genuinely happy.

better news: been watching rick and morty. rick is literally me (derogatory). that entp curse, i tell you.
